The UN began to study the footage of the alleged execution of Russian prisoners of war

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has begun studying video recordings of murdered Russian prisoners of war in the village of Makeevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the press service of the international organization reported.

“I have contacted colleagues who say they are aware of these videos and are looking into them,” said Elisabeth Trossell, a spokeswoman for the UPCHR (cit. according to RIA Novosti).

Former head of the Human Rights Council (HRC) under the President of Russia Valery Fadeev informedwhich will send a video of the alleged execution of Russian prisoners of war in Makiivka to various international organizations, including the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, Amnesty International, the International Committee of the Red Cross, etc.

Before that, two videos appeared on Telegram channels, which, presumably, depicted the execution of Russian prisoners of war by soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the Russian Ministry of Defense called these shots are a confirmation of the “knackering nature of the current Kyiv regime.” The department stressed that this case is not the first war crime committed against Russian prisoners of war.

The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the incident.
