The UAE will become a partner country of the Innoprom-2024 exhibition – Kommersant

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will act as a partner country for the first time at the international industrial exhibition Innoprom, the organizers of the event told Kommersant. The exhibition will take place in July this year in Yekaterinburg. The UAE delegation will be headed by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies, Special Representative of the UAE for Russia Sultan bin Ahmed al-Jaber.
Commenting on this news, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov noted that in recent years Russian-UAE relations have reached the highest level in history. Bilateral trade turnover at the end of 2023 exceeded $10 billion. “The participation of the UAE in the status of a partner country of the Innoprom-2024 exhibition not only confirms the special nature of Russian-UAE relations, but will also give an additional impetus to the development of cooperation ties in innovative industries,” Mr. Manturov.
The UAE national exposition at Innoprom will tell about the country’s key technological projects and priority areas of industrial and economic cooperation. Sultan bin Ahmed al-Jaber also proposed holding the Russia-UAE Strategic Business Forum as part of the exhibition.
According to Innoprom program director Anton Atrashkin, the UAE is the most important international industrial and technological hub, including over 40 free economic zones with 200 thousand foreign companies. “We consider this country, which has managed to create attractive conditions for foreign investors, as a strategic partner for domestic producers,” he added.
Innoprom-2024 will be held in Yekaterinburg from July 8 to 11. Manufacturers from more than 60 Russian regions and countries around the world are expected to participate. The exhibition is positioned as the main industrial, trade and export platform in Russia; more than 46 thousand specialists visit it annually. In previous years, Innoprom’s partners included China, India, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Italy, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
