The Single Voting Day (SVD) will take place on September 10 this year. Elections from September 8 to 10 will also be held in new regions – the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Residents will elect deputies to local legislative assemblies, which will then hold a vote to elect the heads of subjects.
At the end of August, branches of United Russia (ER) in the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions at regional conferences presented versions of the electoral “people’s program” for new regions. EP candidates talk about social guarantees, repair and construction of housing, restoration and development of housing and communal services infrastructure, etc.
At the same time, the DPR program has a block dedicated to the development of tourism potential – the region has access to the Sea of Azov. The party members intend to create ecological trails on the coast and tourist and health complexes.
