Before the transfer window in the KHL closed, the Chelyabinsk club managed to conclude a deal with forward Jack Rodwald.

The Canadian hockey player moved to Traktor from Kunlun Red Star. The Chinese team, in turn, received monetary compensation.

Rodwald will become the third foreign player in the current Black and White squad, as the club previously parted ways with defender Madison Baoui.

“He is a big forward, 190 cm tall, who knows how to play at the point, equally useful in uneven lineups, capable of creating chances and controlling the puck. It is important that Jack has already adapted to Russian hockey and is ready to try himself at a club with higher goals,” noted Traktor general manager Alexey Volkov.

Earlier, Traktor also extended the contract of prolific forward Maxim Shabanov. Also, as a result of the exchange with Metallurg, the Chelyabinsk team received defender Grigory Dronov, and goalkeeper Nikita Podskrebalin went to Magnitogorsk.
