The Russian national snowboard team in parallel disciplines planned to hold a training camp in the United Arab Emirates in October. However, according to Denis Tikhomirov, President of the Russian Snowboard Federation, it was canceled due to the order of the Russian Ministry of Sports.
“The training camp in the UAE in October has been canceled, because there is an order from the Ministry of Sports, we will train at home. While it has not been moved anywhere, perhaps there will be self-training, we will start from November 1,” TASS quoted Tikhomirov as saying.
On September 14, Tikhomirov, in an interview with TASS, said that the Russian national snowboard team in parallel disciplines will hold a training camp in the United Arab Emirates in October. However, on September 24, the media reported that the Ministry of Sports, until further notice, excluded training events and sports competitions with the participation of Russian national teams scheduled to be held in foreign countries from the Unified Calendar Plan.
