The Torpedo hockey players lost heavily to their rivals from Krasnoyarsk

The Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo hockey players continue to fight for victory in the playoffs of the WHL Cup for the 2023-2024 season. The team from Nizhny Novgorod shows excellent results during the 2023-2024 season, settling in 2nd position in the standings following the results of the regular season. Only the representatives of Agidel, who became the best in the last playoffs, performed better than the Nizhny Novgorod team. In the regular season, Torpedo took 2nd place, and in the first round of the playoffs they defeated outsiders from the Moscow region without any problems.

In the semi-final match, the women’s team “Torpedo” met with “Biryusa” from Krasnoyarsk and faced problems. The Nizhny Novgorod team won the first match, and then played very weakly twice in a row, allowing the opponent to defeat them. In the third match of the series, the girls from Nizhny Novgorod conceded 5 goals and responded with just one goal. Thus, “Biryusa” will take the lead in the series and can qualify for the final tomorrow.
