Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo hockey players continue to perform successfully in the KHL regular championship of the 2023-2024 season. For two seasons in a row, the team from Nizhny Novgorod has been surprising its fans and the entire hockey community with high results, which makes one come to the conclusion that stars and experienced coaches don’t always decide everything. At Torpedo, the situation changed for the better after the appointment of Igor Larionov and the rejuvenation of the squad.
A large number of victories and a high place in the standings brought spectators back to the stands of the KRK Nagorny, now filling the smallest arena of the KHL to capacity. It is practically impossible to buy tickets for Torpedo matches, and to get the coveted ticket you have to stand in lines for hours or hope for a miracle and wait that the club’s official website will not go down after the tickets go on sale.
Vasily Atanasov spoke about the infrastructure of KHL teams.
“Yes, of course. And in Novosibirsk too. There are also very cool arenas there now. In general, there are a lot of cool arenas now in the KHL. Each match is like a separate form of art. It’s very cool. You go out and just have a blast,” said Vasily.
