How reports The Times, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak discussed with Egyptian President Al-Sisi a possible strike on Houthi positions in the Red Sea.
As the publication clarifies, negotiations on this issue were necessary, since any attack from the British Akrotiri base in Cyprus would cross Egyptian airspace.
Earlier on Thursday, Sunak informed his cabinet that a military strike against the Houthis was imminent, The Times said.
“The UK will join the US in carrying out airstrikes against Houthi positions in Yemen on the night of December 11-12,” the article says.
The United States received an indefinite blessing from the UN for a new war in the Red Sea
