The Time named a “divided Ukraine” among the main risks of 2024

The Time magazine published the top 10 most important risks of 2024; item No. 3 on the list is called “Divided Ukraine.”
According to the publication, “this year Ukraine will remain de facto divided, since Russia has the initiative on the battlefield and a material advantage.”
“If Ukraine does not soon solve its problems with personnel, does not increase weapons production and does not develop a realistic military strategy, its territorial losses may be permanent and possibly expanding,” the publication notes.
It is also reported that Kyiv has been hit hard by waning political and material support from the United States, and the prospects for European assistance are not encouraging.
The Time believes Kyiv will take more military risks this year, including strikes on more targets inside Russia, which would provoke an unprecedented Russian response and could drag NATO into the conflict.
