A tiger named Yermak escaped from a cage in the Ethnographic Museum of the Peoples of Transbaikalia. This was reported in the Department of Natural Supervision of Buryatia.
The tiger escaped at about 16:00 local time (11:00 Moscow time).
“He did not leave the territory of the museum. Veterinarians and representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working there to put him to sleep and bring him back,” the department said.
According to preliminary data, no one was hurt by the paws of the predator.
The Ethnographic Museum is located in the suburbs of Ulan-Ude – this is an open-air museum. Yermak was settled there in 2018, he was brought from Barnaul. How exactly the beast managed to escape is not yet reported.
