The third deputy of the city council of Novosibirsk left Russia – Kommersant

The deputy of the city council of Novosibirsk Natalya Pinus said that she had left Russia and moved to Montenegro. She has already become the third Novosibirsk municipal deputy to emigrate from the country over the past year: earlier Sergei Boyko (included in the list of foreign agents) and Helga Pirogova announced their departure.

“This September we met with younger children in Budva. So far, I am not resigning as a deputy. Assistants work in the district. I am in touch with them,” said Ms. Pinus in her Telegram channel. She did not disclose the reasons for her departure from Russia.

The leadership of the Novosibirsk City Council has not yet commented on the situation.

Natalya Pinus was elected to the city council of Novosibirsk in 2015, and then received a deputy mandate again following the results of the 2020 elections. Both times she ran as a self-nominated candidate, during her parliamentary work she also did not join any of the factions of the City Council.

Earlier, two other Novosibirsk municipal deputies who left Russia, Sergey Boyko and Helga Pirogova, were deprived mandates due to failure to provide information on their income for 2022. Sergei Boyko left Russia in the fall of 2021, saying he feared arrest in a criminal case on the creation of an extremist community. And at the end of March 2023, the Ministry of Justice declared him a foreign agent. Helga Pirogova went abroad in July 2022, after a criminal case was opened against her for spreading fakes about the Russian armed forces.
