The territory of Vladivostok is planned to be expanded along the Amur Bay to create the first million-plus city in the Far East, it will also include the advanced development territory Nadezhdinskaya, which will receive a new name – Primorye, Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako.
“We are facing an ambitious task – to create the first million-plus city in the region. We will expand the territory of the capital of the Far East. As you know, where the road is, there is life, so we plan to expand Vladivostok along the Amur Bay, through which a low-water bridge was built more than ten years ago. It connected the regional center with the De-Vries peninsula, located in the Nadezhdinsky district, ”said Kozhemyako (cit. according to TASS).
He recalled that this area is the territory of the same name of advanced socio-economic development (TOR), which will become part of the Greater Vladivostok. 22 projects will be implemented on this territory, including the construction of the satellite city of Vladivostok under the leadership of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic together with the Regional Development Corporation. It is assumed that the volume of investments will exceed 136 billion rubles.
It is assumed that production and industrial facilities in the new satellite city will be launched simultaneously with educational institutions, which will provide new enterprises with young specialists. Housing construction will be in demand for specialists and their families who will come to the region.
