In Russian football, the winter off-season is coming to an end, when teams trained and played exclusively control matches with opponents of different levels for almost three months. The winter break in Russian football is more difficult than its summer counterpart, lasting noticeably less. If in the summer the functionaries are busy only with the composition and financial component, then in the winter you also need to monitor the home arena, which must be ready to host home matches in any weather conditions.
On February 22, the press service of the Ivanovo “Textilshchik” posted on its social networks photographs of the field in the main arena of the region, where the only professional club plays. At the moment, the field of the Tekstilshchik stadium is completely ready to host home matches of Igor Kolyvanov’s charges in the Silver Division of the Second League “A”. The green quadrangle has been warming up for a week and is free of snow cover. Thus, the 1st round match in the Silver division between Tekstilshchik and Dynamo Bryansk should take place on March 2, as previously planned.
Let us remind you that according to the results of the summer-autumn part of the 2023-2024 season, Tekstilshchik took 5th place, losing to FC Chelyabinsk by 1 point.
