The team “Pomorie” got into the playoffs of the major league of the championship of Russia in mini-football

For the first time in the history of regional football, a team from the Arkhangelsk region reached the playoffs of the major league of the Russian mini-football championship.

Recall that in 2021, at the initiative of the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky, on the basis of the sports school of the Olympic reserve “Pomorye”, the futsal team of the Pomorie IFC was created with the same name, which mainly included young athletes.

For the first time, the club took part in the major league competitions of the Russian Futsal Association in the 2021/22 season. Then the team failed to reach the second round of the championship, but already this season, athletes from the Arkhangelsk region have achieved the best results in the history of regional futsal.

– The young guys from the futsal team of the IFC Pomorie are progressing. I congratulate the fans and athletes on a worthy result, – Sergey Pivkov, Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, congratulated the team. – Today, football is one of the most popular sports in the region: almost every region of Pomorie has its own amateur and professional teams. And with the advent of new sports grounds and the implementation of the Football at School project, more and more young people are fond of this game.
