The team from Donetsk became the first at the All-Russian Koshiki Karate Championship

The Donetsk team competed for the first time at the WFKK championship as a regional branch of the federation.

Athletes of the Koshiki karate section under the leadership of international master of sports Sergei Poddubny became champions and prize-winners of Russia according to the All-Russian Koshiki Karate Federation.

A team of 17 boys and girls went to Moscow at the invitation of the President of the WFKK Shikhan Oleg Eston. In total, more than 500 athletes from different regions of Russia, as well as Abkhazia and Azerbaijan took part in the Championship and Championship of the All-Russian Koshiki Karate Federation, which took place on December 16 in the city of Pushkino.

At the grand opening, the Donetsk team was presented with a certificate certifying the status of the regional branch of the WFKK in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Inspired by the recognition, the Donetsk team fought in the kumite section (sparring with the enemy), demonstrating all the skills and techniques honed over months of training in Donetsk under the roar of shells. The result was not long in coming: the team from Donetsk became first in the overall standings, beating rivals from Ryazan, Volgodonsk and Nizhny Novgorod.

Athletes of the Koshiki karate section of the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity of the city of Donetsk won 5 gold, 2 silver and 8 bronze medals.

In addition, the DPR Representative Office in Moscow organized an exciting trip through the VDNKh pavilions for young fellow countrymen. The guys plunged into the world of digital technologies, saw with their own eyes all the regions of the big country represented at the exhibition-forum “Russia”, visited the DPR stand and, of course, took pictures with the native Christmas tree representing our region in Moscow.
