At the IV All-Russian Boxing Forum in Serpukhov, the Boxing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan was recognized as the best regional federation in Russia based on the results of last year, reports Tatar-inform news agency.
For the third year in a row, the Tatarstan federation is recognized as the best. This is recognition of the work and efforts of a large and friendly team, from athletes and coaches to workers in every city and region, said the President of the Boxing Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Secretary General of the Russian Boxing Federation Sergei Ignatiev.
He thanked the leadership and colleagues from the Russian Boxing Federation, the leadership and Government of Tatarstan, and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic for their support and high level of trust.
Sergey Ignatiev shared with the Russian boxing community the results of the Tatarstan project “Boxing to School”. Today, about 25 thousand boys and girls and 108 schools participate in the project.
The work of the federation was assessed according to several criteria: the achievements of athletes, the increase in the number of masters of sports, the quality of sporting events and a number of others.
