Evgeny Ovsyannikov, press attaché of Tula Arsenal, said that many Swiss, including those not interested in football, apologized for their compatriots who attacked his son Artem during the Swiss championship match between Basel and Servette.
The reaction of the Swiss was “very warm,” Ovsyannikov said. He also suggested that the Basel police would be able to sort it out without legal assistance from Arsenal.
Artem Ovsyannikov reported that two men physically assaulted him for filming a video. One of the fans approached Ovsyannikov from behind and hit him on the leg, the other also tried to hit him. The Russian regarded this act as “very racist”, as he was rude in response to the Russian speech.
