The swimmer from Kandalaksha took second place in the All-Russian competitions

This is the first high result of this magnitude for swimmers from the Arctic.
On December 3 and 4, the Junior All-Russian Swimming Championship “Mad Wave Classic 2022” was held in Ruza, near Moscow. Ruza became the fourth city in Russia to host the competition in 2022. Prior to this, competitions were held in Kazan, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
849 athletes from 28 regions of Russia took part in the championship. These are girls from 9 to 17 years old and boys from 11 to 18.
The second place in the 200 meters backstroke was taken by Anastasia Matetskaya, born in 2013, who is a pupil of the MAUDO “Youth Sports School” of the Kandalaksha swimming department.
