The lawyer of journalist Ivan Golunov said that the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation rejected the cassation appeal of Igor Lyakhovets, the former head of the department for combating drug trafficking of the Moscow Internal Affairs Directorate. “The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation left the complaints of the former employees of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the CJSC in the Golunov case unsatisfied, the appeal ruling and the sentence of the MGS remained unchanged,” said Sergey Badamshin.
