The Supreme Court of Bashkiria left unsatisfied the appeal of the defense of the soloist of the rock band DDT Yuri Shevchuk against the decision of the Sovetsky District Court of Ufa, which fined the musician 50 thousand rubles. for discrediting the armed forces of Russia (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).

Mr. Shevchuk’s lawyer Oleksandr Peredruk pointed out in his complaint that the decision was issued in violation of Yury Shevchuk’s constitutional rights and was unlawful and unfounded. An employee of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Ufa, Rashida Kamalova, who drew up a report on the musician, asked that the decision on the fine be left in force.
Oleksandr Peredruk said he intends to file a cassation appeal.
