The Supreme Court considered more than 47 thousand complaints in arbitration cases in 2023

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation published summary statistics for 2023. During this period, the Supreme Court examined 47,424 complaints in arbitration cases. 503 cases (about 1%) were referred to the judicial panel for economic disputes, of which 492 complaints were satisfied (97.8%), that is, judicial acts in these cases were revised (cancelled or amended).
In most cases, the economic board overturned the acts of the courts of first instance and referred the case for a new trial (273 cases). Only in 74 cases did the trio of judges independently make a new decision. The board sent 20 arbitration cases for reconsideration to the appellate instance, and 8 disputes to the cassation instance.
In total, in 2023, the Supreme Court considered 542 supervisory complaints requesting a review of acts of arbitration courts, but none of them were submitted to the presidium for consideration.
