In the Sakhalin region, the names of the strongest swimmers became known. The regional Ministry of Sports spoke about this.

The competition took place in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. 28 amateurs competed in the fifth stage of the Sakhalin Swimming Marathon.

“People of completely different ages with their own hobbies and professions compete in such events. They all have one thing in common – a love for a healthy lifestyle, for sports, in particular swimming and triathlon,” noted the organizers of the competition.

For participants, the swims are an opportunity to overcome themselves again, get a new boost of energy and feel like part of the big sports world. Swimmers of all age categories covered a distance of 600 meters.

Marathon gold went to Nina Kazimirova (PRO women), Igor Belanov (PRO men), Lyubov Kirillova (18-39 years old), Natalya Skvortsova (40-49 years old), Elena Surmina (50+), Vadim Titov (18-39 years old), Konstantin Shevchenko (40-49 years old), Sergey Lupach (50-59 years old) and Igor Mikhalev (60+).
