The strongest players were determined in the Anadyr Mayor’s Basketball Cup

Basketball competitions for the cup of the mayor of the district capital ended in Anadyr. They were held from April 13 to April 29, 11 men’s and women’s teams fought for the victory, Chukotka news agency reports, citing the press service of the Anadyr administration.

Among the men’s teams, eight teams fought for the main award – “Veterans”, “Hawks”, “Tornados”, “Wolverines”, “Polar Wolves”, “Lyceum”, “87 Region” and “Wakanda”. Competitions were held from 13 to 30 April on the basis of the district department for technical support and operation of the property of the PrJSC. In the final match “Veterans” defeated “Polar Wolves” with a score of 71:59. Bronze in the men’s championship for the team “87 region”.

3 teams participated in the women’s fights – “Dream Team”, “Dream” and “Lyceum”. The games were held from 18 to 30 April, the winner was the team “Dream-team” – with a score of 66:11, she won the “Lyceum” in the final. Armor – the players “Dreams”.

“The best players of the tournament among men are recognized – Maxim Mudrak from the team “Veterans”, “Polar Wolf” Vladimir Shamsudinov and Mikhail Stepchenkov, representing the “87 region”. The best players in the women’s championship were Anastasia Dryomova from the Dream-Team team, Valentina Pananto from the Lyceum and Victoria Vakhlaeva from the Mechta team.

It should be reminded that mini-football competitions, in which teams of schoolchildren from six municipalities took part, ended in the district capital. The team of Anadyr became the winner of the tournament, and the city also became the best in the overall standings in the regional sports contest for students.
