Approval of the Strategy for the development of the communications industry until 2035 will take place no later than June-July this year, said the office of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
A series of strategic sessions on strategy development will begin on March 18 at the site of the Government Coordination Center, they explained. The development of the document will take place within the framework of thematic working groups, which will be headed by industry leaders.
“We are counting on the active involvement of business and experts in industry planning. Together we will determine the main directions of its development in the medium and long term,” Chernyshenko said.
The main goal of implementing the strategy will be to ensure technological sovereignty in the field of communications. The measures included in the strategy will be aimed at developing the scientific and human potential of the industry, manufacturing domestic telecommunications equipment, import substitution of software for communication networks, and optimal use of the radio frequency resource.
The work will be carried out within the framework of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, added Chernyshenko’s office.
