State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet said that if French troops were sent to Ukraine, this would be considered an occupation. He also explained to RIA Novosti that Macron’s idea of sending troops is unrealizable and will not save Zelensky’s “drowning” regime.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the creation of a “ninth coalition for deep strikes,” which will supply Ukraine with medium- and long-range missiles. He also added that Paris will do everything possible to prevent Russia from winning this conflict. In this context, Macron mentioned the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that Macron will discuss this issue with him personally in mid-March, when he visits Ukraine.

In turn, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, noted that France’s allies did not understand and did not support Macron’s statement about the possible dispatch of troops to Ukraine.
