“United Russia” announced the introduction of amendments to the State Duma on a ban on the arrest of funds on the accounts of participants in a special military operation, transmits faction press office.

According to one of the authors of the initiative, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrey Turchak, despite the fact that banks and bailiffs are prohibited from debiting the funds of participants in a special operation as part of enforcement proceedings, there remains an opportunity that allows them to freeze their accounts.

“The amendments that United Russia has prepared for the second reading of our own bill on the suspension of legal proceedings against mobilized and volunteers eliminate this possibility, including in relation to the accounts of individual entrepreneurs,” Turchak said.

Formerly State Duma accepted in the first reading, the bill on the suspension of legal proceedings against mobilized and volunteers. Then the faction’s press service reported that an amendment on a ban on the arrest of funds mobilized under existing enforcement proceedings would be worked out by the second reading.

At the end of October, the State Duma was introduced a bill that proposes the suspension of judicial and enforcement proceedings against mobilized Russians, etc.

The bill concerns the suspension of proceedings “in cases within the framework of civil, arbitration, administrative proceedings, as well as enforcement proceedings by bailiffs,” said Senator Andrei Klishas. The rights of employees of the Ministry of Defense, the Russian Guard, the police, the FSB, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee, other federal government agencies, as well as mobilized and volunteers will be equally protected, the senator said. At the same time, the law will not be “the basis for the suspension of enforcement proceedings on alimony obligations in respect of minor children, as well as on the fulfillment of obligations for compensation for harm in connection with the death of the breadwinner,” he noted.
