Deputy Butskaya urged to lay gender in children from kindergarten
The first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, Tatyana Butskaya, spoke about the demographic problem among Russians, which, in her opinion, is expressed in the reluctance of the generation of the current 30-year-olds to have children. On air radio stations “Moscow says” she admitted that she did not understand the young people’s answers to the question about the reasons for their lack of offspring.
The deputy made a proposal to work with the Russians on this topic from a very young age.
“School, yes. But perhaps even earlier, from kindergarten. Look at what children play in kindergarten. Girls play mother-daughter? Do boys play with cars? With hammers?” Butskaya asked a question.
She explained that “gender – it is laid at the kindergarten level.”
“That the girl is a mother, and the boy,” the deputy continued, after a short pause, “with men’s work.”
According to Butskaya, this topic is also going to be studied at the school lessons of “family studies”, which are initiated by her Duma committee. She did not specify what format such lessons could be, noting only that they are more modern, and not like in the USSR.
