The State Duma told when the mandatory mask regime will be returned

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Fedot Tumusov said that the mandatory mask regime in Russia could be reintroduced if the daily incidence reaches 60,000 people.

“Over the past two weeks, we have had an explosive increase in the incidence of covid, unfortunately,” noted deputy in a conversation with Podyom.

According to him, each person should take care of himself, using masks, observing social distance and other measures. As for the authorities, if “the numbers continue to grow at the same catastrophic rate,” then measures will have to be taken.

The parliamentarian recalled that individual regions and enterprises are already introducing mask restrictions, and he believes that “this is dictated by concern for the health of our citizens.”
