Oleg Nilov, First Deputy Chairman of the Just Russia – For Truth faction in the State Duma, supported the initiative to raise the tax for those who left the country, as well as introduce similar measures for those who did not serve in the army.
“I voiced a few months ago that additional taxation would be introduced for those who did not serve in the army, and for this reason are not subject to mobilization,” Nilov said.
The day before, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced that the parliament is working to abolish preferences for those Russian citizens who have left the country, as well as to introduce an increased tax rate for them. In turn, Nilov supported such an initiative.
The deputy of the State Duma considers it unfair when some Russians have already served and were again under mobilization, while others “mowed down from the army.”
