As an additional task, the recommendations of the State Duma committee also aim to reduce the maximum threshold for spending on housing and communal services in the total family income from 22 to 15% on average in Russia.

As the newspaper notes, the idea to simplify the procedure for issuing such a subsidy was conceptually supported by the Ministry of Construction, however, a draft regulatory legal act with a corresponding proposal has not yet been received by the department.

In January, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, Yana Lantratova, turned to Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova with a proposal to allow the mother’s capital to be used to pay for housing and communal services.
