The Main Customs Administration of China has added the port of Vladivostok as a transit port for domestic trade goods. Innovations will come into force from the beginning of June, reported in Telegram Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Vladivostok.
The department clarified that Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces usually send their goods to the south of China through the ports of Liaoning province, the distance to which by land reaches about 1,000 km. Now it will be possible to export goods via Suifenhe or Hongchun to Vladivostok (about 200 km away), from there by sea to the southern regions of China.
In 2022, the trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 29.3%, to $190.27 billion, which was a record. Customs called The PRC is among Russia’s main trading partners in the last year. Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin saidthat China has become a key Russian partner, surpassing the European Union in terms of trade with Russia.
