The State Duma proposed to encourage military-industrial complex workers with apartments

Employees of the military-industrial complex (MIC) should be encouraged for achievements in work, including with apartments, said Oleg Morozov, a State Duma deputy from United Russia, commenting on the statement by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev that now it is necessary to concentrate as much as possible on the implementation of the state defense order.

“We must do everything possible to ensure that the army is uninterruptedly supplied … And if for this it is necessary to roughly punish the negligent and bring a legislative basis for this, then also for it. And at the same time, it is necessary to approximately, publicly encourage ordinary hard workers from the military-industrial complex for outstanding achievements in work – and not only orders, but also apartments, for example, ”- said Morozov (quote from RIA Novosti).

Medvedev earlier today reminded on criminal liability for disruption of the state defense order, and also threatened with punishment for repeated violations. “In this situation, I also want to remind you that no one has canceled responsibility – both the responsibility of the plants themselves and disciplinary responsibility for the management,” he said.

In September 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law providing for punishment of up to 10 years in prison for violating the terms of the state defense order. Medvedev clarified that these sanctions have not yet been applied, but if necessary, the authorities will be forced to resort to them.

On December 26, 2022, Putin signed a decree on the introduction of a new position – his first deputy in the Military Industrial Commission (MIC) of Russia. It was taken by Medvedev. The first deputy chairman of the commission, follows from the document, can create councils and working groups in the areas of the commission’s activities to “consider issues within its competence and prepare proposals for their solution.”
