The State Duma of the Russian Federation proposed to declare a kind of “amnesty” for drivers due to abnormal snowfalls that hit the regions of the country. So, deputy Vasily Vlasov wants to exempt car owners from some fines for the period of bad weather.
The parliamentarian sent his proposal to the head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate Mikhail Chernikov. It is reported by RT.
In his appeal, Vlasov wrote that due to record snowfalls, which will only intensify in the coming days, motorists have had problems complying with parking rules and road marking requirements.
The deputy asks the head of the traffic police to evaluate the feasibility of a “winter amnesty”, which provides for exemption from fines for the above violations during the period of “anomalous weather conditions.”
