The State Duma proposed to create a list of artists who will be banned from participating in state concerts

It is necessary to create a list of artists who will be prohibited from taking part in state-funded projects and appearing on cultural venues. With such an offer spoke State Duma deputy from the United Russia party Ekaterina Stenyakina in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

“There should be a public stop list of those who should not appear on cultural venues, on federal channels and participate in state-funded projects,” she said.

Stenyakina stressed that this step is “a logical reaction to disgusting, in my opinion, behavior.” “People should know those who betrayed the country,” she said.

Previously with a similar offer spoke Head of the State Duma Committee on Culture Elena Yampolskaya. The MP proposed to cut off the artists who oppose Russia from state funding.

In a conversation with Vedomosti, she also notedthat it is necessary to deprive the titles and awards of those artists who “have stained themselves irrevocably so that it is impossible to return from this.” “Most of them do not value these titles. We do this for ourselves. We don’t want a person who cut himself off from Russia, betrayed the people, to be called a People’s Artist of Russia, ”she believes.

Earlier, actor Artur Smolyaninov, in an interview with Novaya Gazeta Europe (blocked in Russia), said that if he took part in the hostilities, he would be on the side of Ukraine. At the same time, he said that he “doesn’t care what shape Russia will be in.” After this statement, the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin instructed initiate a criminal case against the actor.
