The State Duma proposes to lift the ban on teaching at school for “persons with an expunged criminal record” for particularly serious offenses. Well, not for everyone, the deputies console. We still won’t allow former murderers or pedophiles in remission to see children… But the rest of the reformed ones, who were imprisoned for a raid or robbery, are for our dear souls. And let the concept of “from call to call” take on a new meaning.
Let’s clarify who is imprisoned for “serious crimes.” There are only a few murderers and molesters on the list, thank the Duma. Who stays?
Ordinary, trivial, so to speak, rapists were left for potential teachers. It’s already strange. Although the document submitted to parliament states that each candidate who has served time will be considered by a commission on juvenile affairs. It is there that, apparently, they will decide whether the citizen has reformed after the rape or not. Reforged? And can it be recommended for children?
Who else was in jail? Under these articles, people are serving economic crimes, which are on a large scale, for example. Large bribes and thefts, including by hackers, drugs, organization of games…
Yeah, these will teach you, just let them go to school. The naive old man Fagin from Oliver Twist, who taught the boys to steal cambric handkerchiefs, watches and wallets, floats shallowly next to them. And the crafty Luka from Gorky’s play “At the Bottom” looks pale, and even Professor Moriarty himself fades and envy, falling into the abyss of the Reichenbach Falls.
Gilyarovsky’s types from Khitrovka turn out to be somewhat closer to life: jumping raiders, “business guys” and “cats” with their marukhas. Because crimes involving robbery, assault, intentional harm to health, and others of that nature are also classified as serious.
And the series “Breaking Bad” comes to mind. There the teacher rushed to the dark side of drug dealers out of despair. But with us it’s cooler: from there you go to school!
The ambassador of the proposal is Petr Tolstoy. His great ancestor defended criminals in court, this happened. But to recommend criminals to children—even the progressive count couldn’t think of such a thing. He loved children, although he tormented them with moralizing.
It is not clear how such outrageously extravagant proposals appear. But it’s clear why. There aren’t enough teachers in schools, so they’re getting creative. Either they strive to hire students as early as the fourth year, or they offer college graduates to teach. And now they have even enrolled inmates with a clear conscience as “test teachers”, who were corrected in the zone with the help of “bumpers”, “supervisors” and other local authorities.
Perhaps someone will say: there is a repentant thief on the cross – that’s who followed the Teacher. Of course, if you do not take into account the fact that only God knows about the purity of repentance. And the police commission at the PDN is definitely not tired of the flurry of people…
In general, our officials are ready to do anything, but not to give teachers normal working conditions. Salary is higher than the regional average. The load is not like that of a crazy android with a titanium drive, but human. The inspectors are not with cast iron brains… But if you bring the system to life, then the schools will work as they should. Moreover, without any anomalies, such as recruiting personnel straight from the zone, our education will be quite manageable.
