The State Duma advocated the use of chemical castration for pedophiles following the example of Belarus
The State Duma of the Russian Federation commented on the news from Belarus, where, as it became known earlier, they adopted a clinical protocol for the treatment of pedophilia, including the use of chemical castration. Nina Ostanina, head of the Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, said she would support the adoption of similar norms in Russia.
“I rate this as a super-actual measure <...> I will support with both hands, stated Stop “Rise”.
The first deputy head of the health committee, Leonid Ogul, in turn, called for public discussions on the introduction of chemical castration.
“If they introduced it, I think it’s right and it’s impossible to do it any other way,” Ogul said.
His colleague on the committee, Sergei Leonov, said that the LDPR had already prepared a corresponding bill.
