The State Duma will increase the number of plenary sessions in the next two weeks: four meetings are scheduled per week instead of the previous three. The decision was made at the suggestion of the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
“It is important for us to consider a number of bills before the end of the session, including on additional guarantees to support orphans in the issue of providing them with housing; on VAT exemption for tour operators operating in domestic and inbound tourism; on the prohibition of gender reassignment, explained Mr Volodin.
The final meeting of the session will take place on July 26. After that, the deputies will work in their constituencies until August 7. In the adjusted schedule, which was previously reported, it was planned that the State Duma would hold the last plenary meeting on June 27, and the first autumn meeting on September 12.
