Ukraine was preparing in advance to make an attack on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. This statement was made by Alexei Zhuravlev, First Deputy of the Defense Committee of the State Duma of Russia.
In the past few weeks, increased volumes of water have been dumped into the reservoir in order to make the consequences even more catastrophic, he said.
“Ukraine was preparing in advance for a terrorist attack, this is indicated by the fact that over the past few weeks, increased volumes of water have been dumped into the reservoir,” Zhuravlev said.
He noted that, according to the statements of the authorities of the Kherson region, there is no point in carrying out the evacuation so far, and the water level has not risen so much. According to him, there is no threat to the cooling system of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant as a result of the incident at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
