Nina Ostanina, head of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, said that the number of Russian citizens who were drafted as part of partial mobilization had reached 260,000 people.
Following the meeting with Russian Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov, she stressed that it was he who named this figure during his visit to the State Duma. Thus, “only 14% of the mobilization target remains to be met.”
According to the parliamentarian, the mobilization will be completed next week, which was also confirmed by Pankov, and also by the head of the mobilization department Yevgeny Burdinsky.
Earlier, Kremlin speaker Dmitry Peskov spoke about the timing of the end of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation. According to him, one should proceed from the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin when he announced that the mobilization measures would be completed within two weeks. However, there is no exact date.
Partial mobilization was announced on 21 September. Only the president of the country can announce its completion. On October 14, Putin announced that all mobilization measures would be completed within two weeks. At that time, according to the president, about 220,000 people were mobilized.
