The State Duma adopted a law banning cards that challenge the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation
The State Duma of the Russian Federation at a meeting on May 25 adopted in the second and third readings a bill according to which geographical maps or images of Russia without part of the territoryb become extremist materials.
An “extremist” map will be one that, for example, does not include Crimea in the Russian Federation, or new territories that appeared in September 2022, or the Kuril Islands, or other regions.
The punishment, according to the new law, will be a fine of up to 1 million rubles or administrative arrest.
