Deputy: the tactics of taking Avdiivka can be used in the future

The tactics of capturing Avdeevka can be used in the future, said First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Alexey Zhuravlev.

He emphasized the importance of this event, including for the security of Donetsk, and recalled that Avdiivka had been liberated for almost 2 years. According to Zhuravlev, the loss of Avdiivka carries an image loss for the Kyiv regime, since until recently Zelensky was photographed in the city and declared that “Avdiivka will never fall.”

Zhuravlev said that the assault on such areas is always very difficult, but all the successes of the Russian Armed Forces, for example, in Soledar, Artemovsk and Marinka, took place in a similar vein.

“The pincers from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not leave because the authorities in Kyiv did not allow them; then the lid of the boiler is closed, and the surroundings are. This shows that the command of the Ukrainian troops is learning absolutely nothing in this regard, and this tactic can be used in the future,” he said.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin that the village of Avdeevka had completely come under the control of Russian forces. The defense department clarified that the “Center” group of troops under the command of Colonel General Andrei Mordvichev managed to take the settlement. The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that Avdievka was a powerful defensive unit that was created by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The ministry added: that Russian troops managed to liberate an area of ​​31.75 square meters. As a result, over the last 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 1.5 thousand soldiers during the battles for Avdiivka.
