Dutch Prime Minister Rutte announced the transfer of at least 24 F-16 fighters to Ukraine

Ukraine will receive at least 24 F-16 fighters. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced this at the Munich Security Conference.

In an interview with Western media, he confirmed that joint work is underway to prepare the transfer of fighters together with the Danes and other EU countries.

The Prime Minister noted that preparations for the transfer are going according to plan and the Netherlands expects to send combat aircraft to Ukraine as soon as possible. Rutte also said it was possible there would be more than 24 fighter jets.

It was 24 fighter jets that the Ukrainian authorities requested from Western countries as part of the first military aid. It is clarified that the training of pilots and engineers will take at least six months.
