The draft federal budget for 2024 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026 was adopted by the State Duma in the second reading, reported press service lower house of parliament. The third reading of the bill is scheduled for November 17. According to information “RIA News”the draft budget was supported by 328 deputies, 78 voted against, 1 abstained.
According to the State Duma press service, more than 900 amendments were received for the second reading. At the same time, the main parameters of the budget remained unchanged. According to Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, the amendments to the second reading are aimed at additional support for citizens and regions, as well as at the technological development of the country, the press release says.
Federal government budget draft contributed to the State Duma on September 27. On October 26 he passed first reading. RBC calculated that the version of the budget updated for the second reading assumes a reduction in closed expenses in 2024 by almost 3 percentage points – from 30% to 26.8% of all expenses. The main volume of redistribution affected the “National Defense” section, the open part of which will increase by 725 billion rubles. The total volume of federal budget expenditures for 2024 has not changed – 36.66 trillion rubles.
