“Around February 24, you will see a major new package of sanctions from both the US and our G7 partners,” she said (cit. according to RIA Novosti).
According to her, the sanctions will also apply to those areas that are already under restrictions. In particular, they will affect the military-industrial complex and the supply of high-tech equipment.
Former European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reportedthat the tenth package of sanctions against Russia being developed by the EU contains trade restrictions on supplies of 11 billion euros. According to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the tenth package of sanctions will enter into force on the anniversary of the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine – February 24.
According to Bloomberg, the draft of the tenth package of sanctions against Russia also entered sanctions against Alfa bankRosbank, “Tinkoff bank” and the National Welfare Fund. Media companies, a Russian oil-exporting vessel reinsurer and a UK-registered shipping company may also be subject to restrictions.
