“I have a desire to turn the car around and go back”

Comedian Alexander Morozov was eager for the Donbass for a year and a half. The star of the “Full House” dreamed of speaking to the military, but everywhere they gave him a turn from the gate. Like, humor is not needed in the NWO zone. Recently, Morozov was able to fulfill his dream. About what is happening in the zone of the Ukrainian conflict, what surprised him in the Luhansk region and what words the military said to him, the humorist told MK.

– Everyone refused me the desire to go to the Donbass, they gave strange arguments: “Where are you asking? People are dying there! And you climb with your humor! People there are not laughing,” says Alexander. I’ve been listening to this nonsense for a whole year. But, after all, I am Russian. And the Russians, as you know, do not give up. I am of Samara origin, and my countrymen helped me to travel to new regions of Russia.

Was it exciting there?

– There was no time to be afraid and worry: all the minutes were scheduled. For the first time in my life, I worked in front of children who were born during the hostilities, live with them and it is not clear how much longer they will live. We were in correctional schools, in orphanages, where everyone is without parents. It was hard. But children are children everywhere. Many of them saw a live clown for the first time in their lives. The first seconds looked at me with incomprehension: “What kind of funny uncle is this shaggy?” But then their hearts thawed.

– Did you talk to the military?

– Certainly. They say to me: “Why don’t you go to the front of us?” I answered: “Who will let me go there? They say that humor is not needed there. They smiled: “We are just there and laughing. Without jokes on the front, you can die right away!

— What else surprised you in the Donbass?

– There, for example, in the Lugansk region, people are joyful. They are happy that they are already Russia. It is clear that the fighting is going on. But the locals argue like this: “They cannot continue indefinitely. Everything will end, and we will remain Russia.” Such amazing roads are now being built in the Luhansk region! I was delighted when I saw it. I can say that not everywhere in Russia there are such roads, if only in Moscow.

– I understand that you decided to continue your trips to the Donbass?

– Necessarily. When I was leaving, I remember we stopped at the last checkpoint, and I said to the guys: “You know, I have a desire to turn the car around and go back.” This is not slyness, I speak absolutely without pathos.

In Donbass, you understand your need. Here you went on tour, earned money, made people laugh, and that’s it. And then you realize how much these kids need you. The trip to the Donbass changed my perception of reality so much in my head – I still have not fully realized everything that happened. This trip has been healing for me.
