Selivanov and Kalmykova are preparing to become parents
Actor Vladimir Selivanov, whom many know well from the series “Real Boys”, as well as as an artist at Vavan, will soon become a father for the second time. He broke up with his previous wife Victoria and recently married blogger Alexandra Kalmykova. The couple announced the upcoming addition of a new unit of society. The baby is expected to be born in the spring. This couple exclusively told Moskovsky Komsomolets about how the pregnancy was going.
We have already written about the gender party that the artist organized to find out the gender of the child together with his wife. Then it became clear that it would be a boy.
— Vladimir, tell us how you are preparing for fatherhood?
“Honestly, I’ve been ready for fatherhood for a long time: we already have three children between us!” (Kalmykova has two children from a previous marriage, Selivanov has a daughter. – Note auto.) Therefore, it is more a matter of realizing that I will become a father again, and this is happening gradually. When Sanya announced to me that she was pregnant, I was pleasantly shocked, but I still didn’t understand what had happened. Now the awareness is becoming brighter every week. I look for information on how to raise a child and about fatherhood on the Internet. I compare what I read and draw my own conclusions.
The next question is for Alexandra:
— There are already a lot of rumors floating around on the Internet about how the birth will take place. So where will the important event take place?
– In Moscow. We are even considering the option of home birth, but this is still at the negotiation stage. We will give birth with a midwife and a doula (assistant during childbirth – author’s note). I really want the birth to take place naturally, since I am for a natural, soft birth that does not traumatize the psyche of either the mother or the child.
— Vladimir, what about the name?
– It will be Arkady, Odysseus or Ivan. But we can’t decide yet. It seems to me that we will understand for sure when we see our son.
— Alexandra, how are you feeling and how are you spending this wonderful time waiting for the baby?
– Now I feel great. There were, of course, difficult first two months of toxicosis, when I practically did not leave the house, and my whole life was spent mainly on the sofa. All work negotiations took place on the couch! My beloved would leave for filming, come back, and in whatever position I was lying in the morning, that’s how I would meet him in the evening. But, thank God, these two months are behind me, I feel great.
“Sanya is back at work,” adds Vladimir, “we just flew to Irkutsk for filming and are spending time here together.” Everything is great with us, I feel good too (laughs). So we are really looking forward to the baby’s arrival and are looking forward to our happy future.
