The speed skating championship took place in Olenegorsk. The competition took place from January 26 to 28 on the ice tracks of the Olympus stadium, the Ministry of Sports of the Murmansk Region said.
Among the participants are the strongest speed skaters of the Kola Arctic from 12 to 19 years old. These are not only athletes from Olenegorsk, but also from Murmansk and Monchegorsk.
The competition opened with the 4×400 meter mixed relay. The Monchegorsk team won. The team from Olenegorsk took gold among boys and girls aged 12-13 years.
Olenegorsk wrestlers also won prizes at competitions in Arkhangelsk. Previously “MK in Murmansk” wrotethat the Northwestern Federal District championship in Greco-Roman wrestling was held there.
