Speaker of the US House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy did not confirm the news about the existence of a separate deal on Ukraine with White House head Joe Biden. He said this in an interview with Newsmax.
“There is no additional deal with President Biden. I haven’t talked to the president for several months,” the politician said.
In other words, he refuted the statements of Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, who believed that the speaker could have concluded a secret agreement with the US President to support the Kyiv regime.
Earlier, the American leader called on Congress to end the “brinkmanship” between Democrats and Republicans amid differences in support for Ukraine. He demanded that the Republicans implement the agreements, apparently referring to the agreement on the adoption by Congress of a separate bill to help Kiev, bypassing its inclusion in the draft state budget for 2024.
