From the Baikonur Cosmodrome, as follows from the Roscosmos broadcast, the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Arktika-M hydrometeorological apparatus No. 2 successfully launched.
The launch took place at 12:17 p.m. Moscow time. The rocket with the Fregat upper stage is reportedly supposed to launch the Arktika-M satellite No. 2 into orbit. Injecting the satellite into the target orbit, according to Roscosmos calculations, will take almost five hours.
The Arktika-M spacecraft monitors the climate and environment in the Arctic region.
