The Soviet star from the stele of the hero city of Kyiv was dismantled, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.
Earlier it was reported that local authorities began the corresponding work. The star was installed in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany in Kyiv on Pobedy Avenue.
Since 2015, the Kiev regime has been actively working to “fight” monuments related to the history of the USSR, and at the same time the so-called “decommunization law” was adopted.
At the same time, in recent years, Kyiv has begun to eradicate everything connected with Russia. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Kiev regime has long been implementing a policy of aggressive de-Russification, as well as forced assimilation of the Russian-speaking population.
